In 2013, Bayer CropScience, Syngenta and Valent U.S.A. LLC, with support from Mitsui Agrochemicals, Inc., jointly commissioned a comprehensive evaluation of the economic and societal benefits of neonicotinoid insecticides to North American agriculture, as well trees, turf and landscape & production ornamentals.
The research included an assessment of the following neonicotinoid insecticides: clothianidin, dinotefuran, imidacloprid and thiamethoxam.
AgInfomatics, LLC, an independent agricultural consulting firm established in 1995 by professors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Washington State University, conducted the study and generated a series of reports.
